Greenwich Police Department Welcomes New Officers

Greenwich Police have welcomed three new officers to the department.

Three new officers, Sabrina Diaz, Thomas Koppelman, and Vladimir Souffrant, are sworn into the Greenwich Police Department.

Sabrina Diaz, Thomas Koppelman, and Vladimir Souffrant took the oath of office at Town Hall on Monday, April 1, surrounded by family and friends, the department announced.t.

Surrounded by family and friends the new officers took the oath of office, promising to dedicate themselves to serving the community.

Diaz, who was born in Greenwich, is a Stamford resident who studies jujitsu in Greenwich. Thomas Koppelmann, from Long Island, is a senior at the University of New Haven majoring in criminal justice, and Vladimir Souffrant, from Haiti, but grew up in Stamford, is a Second Lieutenant in the 143 Military Police Company.

The three will be required to complete an 18-month probationary period before becoming full officers.
